Help! Syntaxerror, invaid character

Every time I start my computer for the last 2 days, I get the following message:

An error occurred reading the startup configuraton files. Please contact your administrator. pref.js, Line 5: Syntaxerror, invaid character, # Mozilla user preferences

Any ideas what it is and how to fix it ould be greatly appreciated.

OK, Once I find it, what do I do? I have no clue what it is or what it means, let alone what program it is linked to.
