Help!!! Svchost registry change blocked

this may be an easy fix (I am hoping).
My McAfee program blocked (with my approval) a bunch of registry edit
entries and now i have error 1608-Dependency service failed to load.

How do i reverse this stupidity?

Perhaps system restore?

This did not happen do to an update done today. the last restore i have is
from June 10th. I will try this.

You should get rid of that snake-oil trash McAfee, so you won't shoot
yourself in the foot again. McAfee can't stop a fly coming in the door,
only mess up the door.

Now, go do a system restore back to somewhere prior to the McAfee disaster.
