HELP ! Suddenly I can't boot ?

I was running XP SR2 with no problems - no BSD's, no error messages,
nada - this morning I woke up to find my pc stuck at the Asus logo
boot screen with no hint of POST. I rebooted a number of times with
no success - I get the mobo boot screen then no POST - I did hit
<tab> during the boot sequence to see post messages but nothing.
Needless to say, I never get to the "Windows XP" Knight Rider screen.

I have tried booting directly from the XP CD with no success.

My first instinct is hardware failure - any thoughts ? Thanks - I'm
posting this with my work laptop but it is no fun for gaming :-)

I think your first instinct is right, too.
