I use a mail server in New York using Outlook Express with no
problems. I'm trying to send/receive mail on another computer. I've
mirrored the settings. It let's me receive mail, but when I send mail
it says:

The connection to the server has failed. Account:
'mail.global2000.net', server: 'mail.global2000.net': protocol: stmp,
port:25, secure(ssl): no, socket error: 10060,error number:
0x800cccde.

I've checked and rechecked the settings. Any idea why this is
happening?

Thanks!

Jordan

Sounds like there may be some kind of firewall blocking the port, but
unfortunately I'm no Outlook Express expert.

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002 & 2003 from the
Office
family for Intel PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) support try posting in one of
these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.mail.mac for the Macintosh version of OE

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).
