Help! - SprintScan 120 stalling

Has anyone else experienced the SS120 stalling during the final scan?
I have two of them in my school lab, and only one does this, no matter
what computer it is on. It does this both with SF 6.2.2 and Vuescan.
I updated the firmware to 1.33, the latest, but still no results. It
is hard to believe this is a hardware problem, since the thing
performs perfectly up until the last stage.

Never experienced this with mine...
But, sorry to say, this is the way things break: they worked
yesterday, they no longer work today. :(
Tried swapping the filmholders? Maybe one of them has some wearing...
