Sorry, I only looked at new posts and since you didn't include anything from
an earlier answer I
couldn't see that Aladin already answered that.
It is quite hard to extract names since they can be so different, what if
the last name is Van Beethoven III so it would look like
Van Beethoven III, John B
what you can do if always the last name is to the left and delimited by a
comma, do data>text to column,
delimited, select comma as delimiter (make sure space is not checked), then
click next, next and finished.
Now the last name will be in the left column and the first and the initial
is in the right column, now select
the right column and do the same but make sure comma is not checked and that
space is checked..
That should work probably for more than 90% of the names, the rest you can
copy and paste to make correct
