Help...Sound not captured

Hi- The Moviemaker2 has suddenly stopped capturing the sound from a VCR
source. The VCR hook-up is OK because Pinnacle 80 does capture the sound. The
Pinnacle project, other videos and projects play OK and can be saved to the
computer. Please help. Thanks a lot.

What type of "hook-up"? (PCI capture card? External hub? etc)
Are you running MCE?
What are you trying to capture as? (Mpeg? WMV? etc)
Have you tried capturing, and though no sound in preview, with
captured file is there still no audio? or have you even tried that?

I remember now why it is so exasperating trying to answer some
of the questions posted in here, sigh,.............
 
Thanks for responding. I solved my own problem by adjusting the settings on
the MM2 Video Capture Wizard before starting a capture.
 
The only software that I have ever used is Pinnacle Studio 9 Quickstart
Software with their USB Pinnacle DVC 80 Capure Device. This DVC Device works
well with MovieMaker. If you have not used your device in MovieMaker, give it
a try. Be sure that MovieMaker is configured so that your device is
highlighted and is entered in the dropdown box-- otherwise the sound will not
be captured. (By default the sound is not audible as your movie is being
captured.) Possibly there may be some incompatibility with the source files
you are working with.
