Help! Server Error Question

I use FP 2003 and XP.

When I right-click a folder in Folder View to Convert it to Web, I am
receiving the following message:

"The server extensions were unable to access the file "frontpg.lck". Please
check the file permissions. Contact your ISP or Web Server Administrator for
more information".

Could someone explain to me where this file normally resides and reasons for
denying access all of a sudden?

What are my options to fixing this problem so that I can again right-click
on folders in the folder view and convert them to web?

Thank you for your time and help,

Terri

If you are doing this on the live/remote server, your web host may not allow you the ability to
create subwebs / subsites. You need to contact them.

Thomas, thanks for responding. We have our own servers and 'host' our own
site. Have any other suggestions or what to do? Thanks again, Terri

Thomas,
Thanks for that link! I've been wanting info like that for a while.

Rob

Okay, I hope you have your email notification on and get this...
Our staff is able to complete the Frontpage form - but when they click
Submit, the same Error message pops up; however, it IS emailing now the
correct responses to the person intended. Below is the url to the form. I
don't get what's wrong and I'm getting frustrated. It used to work fine.
Any other suggestions? At least it's going through now! :) Thank you, Terri

Do not use a absolute URL in the confirmation page and do not point it to the forms page
- use a relative URL and just select (browse to) your confirmation page from the FP form dialog

U-Confirmation-Url="http://www.burke.k12.nc.us/EC/CECAS_Student_Info_Form.htm"
should just be
U-Confirmation-Url="EC_Confirmation.htm"
