Hi,
I've got a second hardrive which I had partitoned into 2 sections ("D"
and "E", and I was trying to access a file on "D", and for some
reason it was "not accessible".
So I ran scandisk (probably a big mistake, right?), and it sort of
hung, so I cancelled it, and rebooted.
Now the entire partition was not accessible. The computer has declared
the partition unformatted!
The E partition still works.
So I've been hunting around for solutions...tried BootIt NG, which
supposedly has a function to "undelete", but "undelete" is not listed
as an action! Is it because I didn't create the partition with BootIt
or...?
I tried Partition Table Doctor...tried "rebuild partition table" and
"fixboot". After scanning the disk, it finally said no go...
Decided to try and recover the files using R Studio...many files are
retrievable, but many are not. Plus, there are a bunch of folders
listed that seem to be gibberish, like a combination of chinese and
*&^%$%$^**&)+&%#.
Any ideas as to what I can do to either get the computer to re
recoginize the drive, or to save the files that aren't being saved by
R Studio? Would another recovery program work better, or are the all
the same?
Thanks for any help.
