HELP: Search not working

I like the address search, as well as the auto URL
checking if I make a mistake. Seems to me that they have
vanished on me.
Page not displayed error.
I search for 'why not' in the address bar...
It changes from why not to
http:///?%why not
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Change the View/Encoding settings.
Try with or without the AutoSelect and the others, Westenr
Iso etc...
