I would like to save highlighted text (eg. description of a file) directly
to a text file. Right now I perform 5 operations:

1. highlight the text (manually, or with Ctrl-A)
2. right click -> copy
3. go to clipboard magic (already running)
4. right click -> paste
5. right click -> save as text

Thanks

Neville

Hello, Neville!

With Paste & Save 2003, you just have to highlight the text and copy it by
pressing CTRL+C: this program automatically save copied text into a .txt
file.
It also has some nice features.

I like it :)

Best regards.

Thanks very much for your replies. They DO work, and I am trying out both
methods for the moment.

Late, but still actual, I think:
NoteTab light wasn't mentioned, http://www.notetab.com/
even the freeware version 4.95 offers a wonderful clip book feature.
It runs steady on my pc and collects everything I copy in a text file!
I keep it in 2 monthly txt-files of a few hundred KB.

Sad: Notetab editor offers no clickable links, but when you read the files
with the free Edit Pad Light, you have URLs to click on:
http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html
I use EditPad light sometimes to look for deleted items in Mozilla trash,
sometimes 45 MB big files or bigger, no problem, everything is there.

Notetab saves every 2 minutes automatically (settings) and
Yankee Clipper does the same of course, collects even graphics you copied, but
the freeware version can keep only the 200 newest items you copy, URLs or
texts. Older links will be simply deleted.
