Help! right click box

Please help! The box you get when you right click is constantly appearing on
my screen. It is driving me crazy. I have windows xp
I need your help. Thank you

What "box"? You mean the context menu? If you have a wireless mouse, put in
fresh batteries. If the mouse isn't wireless, try another one.

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time things
worked and the time they didn't?

Thank you......Yes it is the context menu that appears. I tried changing the
mouse. It still does it. It starting doing this when I was working in
Microsoft Office.

It just appeared all of a sudden without any user intervention? You weren't
changing options in Office?

1. Check mouse options in Control Panel.
2. If all looks well, if you have a ps/2 mouse try a usb one and vice versa.
3. If that doesn't help do a System Restore to when things worked.
4. Make sure the computer is completely virus/malware-free.
