I recently returned from a fortnight's visit to my daughter's and when
switching the power on to my VCR, I was asked to type in my pin number so as
I could access it (which was 1331). However, not having much knowledge of
Computers or VCR's as I am an elderly person and when typing in the number I
made an error by typing the first two numbers as 11 instead off 1331, and
when I tried to correct it , I now I find it impossible to access my VCR as
I am not allowed and unable to type in my proper pin number.
Help sincerely sought, although I am just wondering if I may be on the
wrong news board for help!
Many thanks to any one who can help.
Mr Sharpe

You're not on any "news board," but on the Microsoft new users newsgroup.
I've never heard of needing a PIN to access a VCR. Yes, you're in the wrong
place, and you should look for help someplace where the VCR experts hang
out.

When you post there, be sure to tell them what the make and model of your
VCR is. It will be hard to help you without it.

Many thanks for your kindness to reply!

Mr Sharpe
Microsoft don't make VCRs, totally puzzled.
