Firstly, I apologise for being non-computer literate, but I need some assistance. I recently received a virus on my PC which required me to run the e-recovery programme on my PC. Once this was activated, my PC reverted back to it's normal state as when I first received the PC (September 2005). However, since performing the e-receovery, I am no longer able find Word or Excel etc which came pre-installed on my PC. The system came with o/s Windows XP Home Edition. Can anyone tell me how I go about resolving this problem?

Thanks

Hello, welcome to PCReview ... :thumb:

Can you confirm this is an Acer PC or Laptop & which model. :)

OK,

Did you create a "Factory Default Image" when you first got your PC ... or did they 'kindly' supply one? Have a look at page 10 of the Users Guide.

It is very unusual to get "MS Office" ie; Word & Excel "bundled" with a PC ... you do sometimes get Word with 'MS Works' though ... have a look through your CDs, if you got any, that came with the PC.

:)

Thanks for the information. Did find a disk with had MS Works 8, so have installed this and now have the applications, so will do. I am sure I had the other applications previously installed as I definately did not install MS Works 8, so bit confused, but you have resolved the problem for me.

Cheers mate.
