HELP REQUESTED

I have installed MS Antispyware and now have serious problems.

I have a laptop connected to a desktop via wireless network. All was
working fine. Now some of my applications on the laptop will not function
properly. These applications require access to the Internet.

I went and Uninstalled MS antispyware but the problem is still there. I
need help fast. I require these applications to do my job

If this is Windows XP SP2, try this at a command prompt:

netsh winsock reset

and hit enter.
