did scan today, all datas inside downloading program folder
(overnet share file program) is moved to quarantine somehow
but it's not on the list of quarantined datas

Found out it's in the quarantined folder after realizing
the 36 gb size on the microsoft antispyware folder
they are still playable, but all of them are changed in
name, file extension and i cant tell which one is which

wish to get them back in correct folder and proper naming
and file extension

also...it remove the data that's in the progress of
downloading...which is really sux...i dont know how to fix this

Open your quarantine window and leave it open until the contents appear,
could be hours, then you can restore them.

but it never actually asked me if i want to quarantined
them, the datas were not detected as a threat, only the
overnet program was detected as a threat and i told it to
ignore the program.

Kazaa users are reporting the same problem - ignore is treated like a
suggestion, not an absolute. Hopefully we will see changes in the next beta
version!

okay..now I went to quarantine folder and it turned out
that all files are there, but the names are all changed to
some weird names. Is there any way that I can restore those
files to where they belong?

If you select to restore them from MSAS, they will be recovered to their
original names supposedly.

As JohnF said--use the UI within Microsoft Antispyware to un-quarantine
them.

Tools, spyware scan, manage spyware quarantine.

What do you see. I see total quarantined:0 and "there are currently no
spyware......"

I'd recommend leaving that window open for a good long time--hours, as JohnF
says.

HELP -SAME problem 1500 files "lost" any suggestions?

been more than 3 days, this sux, 36 gb items all down the drain
will uninstalling microsoft antispyware restore quarantined
items ? or it'll take it away with it

Only MSAS knows what the real names are for those quarantined files - at
36GB I would keep waiting - unless you can easily restore those files from
originals. It is going to take awhile.

Two words folks are learning a lot about in here:

Backups and Betas

I haven't tested this but uninstalling, as far as I can see, leaves both the
quarantine content and the information necessary to recover from quarantine,
intact.

I don't know whether an update install might "fix" something--control panel,
add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware, change, update.

Was the quarantine operation allowed to complete, or was it interrupted?
