G Guest Oct 18, 2005 #3 OK It was made on the movie maker that comes with windows xp i tried save as in a few different types of movie type format. avi. PAL etc record the dvd ok then doesnt play on the dvd player. My pc is laptop and quite new

G Guest Oct 18, 2005 #4 Hi Thanks for your news post. I have worked out the problem - I think. I have just been saving the.avi file to a dvd and not creating a playable DVD. From this point on however, I am stuck. I have windows movie maker and Sonic Record Now. Neither of which seem to be able to record a playable DVD. Is this the case. If so what else do I need? Frankie
