Hi all,

I just purchased an iDeq 200s small form factor system and I can't get it to boot far enough
so that I can load the O/S. It seems to start normally and pass all BIOS checks, but then
after about 10 or 15 seconds it hangs up. It does this when I try to boot from an O/S CD or
even when I'm in the BIOS!

Here's the configuration:

- Biostar iDeq 200s Sis 651B w/ P4SBA motherboard
- Pentium 4 2.66 GHz 512 cache 533FSB
- 2 x 256 MB 333 MHz DDR memory
- Seagate 120 GB EIDE HD
- LG CED-8080B CD-RW
- Floppy drive
- Phoenix-Award BIOS version SBA08505B

So far I have just used the onboard VGA (no AGP card) since I wanted to wait until I had the
O/S loaded. Target O/S is WinXP.

I have tried all the usual things of checking cables and disconnecting suspect devices with
the same result. While I have the BIOS up (before it freezes) it does seem to recognize
everything correctly.

If anyone can provide any more troubleshooting suggestions it would be much appreciated. It
looks to me as if this must just be a bad motherboard, but I would like another opinion
before going through the hassle of a return.

Thanks!

Have you checked that all your cooling is working ?
