Help printing from Solaris 10 to Cannon ImageRunner 7095

How can I print in proper formatting? I have used the lpadmin command
woth some generic arguments with limited success. Cannon does not
provide a ppd file for this make and model of printer for Solaris.

Someone suggested I print to the windows print server attached to this
printer, however from Solaris I can print directly to the IP - the
printout is all bad though...lines are cut off etc.
 
which means you've tried pxlmono?

I can't try pxlmono - for one thing it does not appear to have Solaris
support. I have other printers attached to the print server which are
working fine, only the canon has issues. If pxlmono is anything like
CUPS, then it seems I'll have to reinstall all the currently working
printers and I can't afford to do so.

No, I have not tried pxlmono. Is it supported for Solaris?
