Help!

I just upgraded Office XP to SP3 (from SP2) and now every time I click on
new email in Outlook (I have the word integration enabled so Outlook opens
an instance of word for me to compose my emails), I get the following
security dialog box:

A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook.
do you want to allow this?

If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose "No".

Whether I choose yes or no, the word email window still pops open
afterwards, but this dialog box is really annoying. How can I fix this
problem?

Thanks!

Outlook 2002 SP3 adds additional properties to the list of those that are
affected by the security features. As a result, one of your add-ins needs
updated to the latest version - antispam add-ins are a common cause
although others are affected by the changes as well. Many add-ins were
updated following the release of Outlook 2003 and should work with SP3, if
not you'll need to contact the vendor for a newer version.

http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems has a list of
applications known to trigger the warning.

To learn how to program around the new properties (which is needed for the
macros to work with OL2003 too) see http://www.outlookcode.com/d/sec.htm

I've tried disabling every add-in in both Outlook and Word, and the pop-up
security dialog box still comes up when I attempt to create a new email. Am
I doing something wrong? Any other help...???!?!?!

Try disabling word as your editor, since it comes up on new mail. Do you
have acrobat installed with the Acrobat buttons on the toolbar?

Diane,

Sorry I didn't mention this earlier. When I disable Word as my email
editor, the security dialog box doesn't pop-up, but of course, word isn't
being used to edit my messages (which is the method I prefer to use to
compose emails)

I have Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional installed, which apparently adds Adobe
stuff to many Office applications, including Word. I have attempted to
disable the integration by removing the PDFMaker.dot file from the following
directory: C:\program files\microsoft office\office10\startup (as well as
two other files that were in that directory that apparently also integrate
with word: MathType Commands 5 for Word.dot and MathPage.wll), and then
restarted Word and Outlook (it appeared the integration was no longer
present in Word), but when I went to compose a new email, the security
dialog box still popped open. I even went so far as to uncheck all the
add-ins and COM add-ins under advanced options in Outlook, and still no
success. This is driving me crazy!! What else can I do? Thanks again for
all your help!!
