Help! Polling all Windows servers for OS/IE/MDAC etc versions?

Hi all,

My group does regular Windows Server (mostly 2000, some 2003) security
updates. The problem is we're never sure which servers are on our
network- active directory doesn't return servers not in a container.

Is there a utility to physically poll all online servers on a domain,
and determine the OS/IE/MDAC etc version on each machine?

Hi Burt-

If your looking for patch information on each of these categories you can
use MS Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA), HFNetchk, or PSINFO from
systernals.com. Hope this helps.
