I don't believe my new monitor is properly installed.. should only be 8 plug
and play modes, per booklet.. instead there are 20-30? Using XP home, new
Star Logic 17" from Office Max- and Intel 85810 adapter.. is there a better
way to specify the monitor other than plug and play or even find a driver??
Thanks!

Visit the support website of the manufacturer of your monitor,
search for the Windows XP compatible drivers, download and
install them. Do the same with your video card.

After installing the new drivers, right-click on your Desktop and select:
Properties > Settings and change the Color Quality to Highest (32-bit), then
adjust the Screen Resolution to your liking.

Thanks Carey..

I found Star Logics website- no drivers... but does WinXP have built in
drivers - I have been unable to find the menu to select the monitor from...
!

Thanks Tim.

One odd thing that is happening.. when I hit 'Start' when the Start menu
pops up, the desktop 'fattens' out a little..

Weird... anything on that? Thanks again for everyone's help...
