help please

been working on this for a week and can't fix it....posted here but no help
offered so I'm trying again. when I open IE to browse I get the can't find
the server screen and a quick message at the bottom. shdoclc.dll error. I
can play online games, email works, and I can ping websites. any help is
greatly appreciated
 
The dll is corrupt, you need to update IE or use another browser to get
updates, there are millions of demo cd's with free browsers on them.
