I have an application I want to get rid of, except it has
made itself invisible(No it is not a trojan) and came
with no uninstall files. Is there something I'm missing?
Appreciate any suggestions, and thanks in advance.

I'm assuming it starts running on bootup

1)Check add/remove programs in control panel.
2)Check the file's website if possible for info on uninstalling.
3)Search through google to see if there's a faq on it somewhere.

4)Look in the task manager to get info on file names
5)Check in the Startup section of the main menu and see if it's there - take
note of the shortcut properties to find the path to the file then delete
shortcut.
6)If you know your registry, look in
hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run
look for the file there, this section forces windows to run the listed
programs on startup. Delete the entry from here.
7)From the "run" command, type in msconfig and look through the dialog box
tabs for information.
8)Open the Services application from the Administrative Tools menu (you can
get this by customizing the start menu - right click on toolbar, select
properties, select Start Menu tab and click Customise button. Select
Advanced tab and the Admin tools menu options are in the list) From the
Services list you can search for your application and prevent it from
running at startup.
