My brother came over for a big thanksgiving dinner this
year with his family, and while here decided to view some
rather inappropriate websites on my computer. I know only
a little about computers: I thought deleting the cookies,
history, or temporary internet files would fix this, but
it didn't. On every search engine now, lude words appear
when you start to type - to finish off words (i.e. if you
are about to search for sound of music, sex will appear
below the search bar as a guess of what you're searching
for when you type "s"). My kids use my computer to search
all the time, and I don't want them stumbling across
words my brother left on my computer. How do I remove
this information from my computer, so search engines will
be blank? Help is greatly appreciated,
Jim Strover

to do it selectively, choose the form entry point, down arrow to the
offender, delete key, repeat as required?
To clear the lot - IE>tools>content>AutoComplete>clear forms. to stop it
working remove check mark from forms. ok your way out.

You can switch off the auto-completion of words by using
Start/Settings/Control Panel/Internet Options. Click on the Advanced tab
and scroll down to the lines 'Use inline Autocomplete ...' and uncheck
these.

However, since it sounds as if your system has been hijacked by a parasite,
