I put this here for all of those "want to be techs" that
put down people who are mad at microsoft. It is ok to
vent. HELP THEM Dont put them down.
Try calling Microsoft. It is Tele-marketer's If you own a
compaq computer then they will tell you too call Compaq.
(depends on who you get on the phone.) Yes I have been
there. You call compaq they say it is a microsoft problem
call them.... Back and forth you go. until you find a tech
that Knows how to help you. I have used movie maker and
have had good times and bad. It is not My machine. First
off under stand that when Microsoft makes a driver they
make the first half of the code. for examle the video
manufacturer has to make the second half for your
computer. so if it does not work it is the video
manufacturers fault. BUT FOR A PRICE THEY CAN HAVE IT
FIXED. DONT CALL COMPAQ, DELL OR GATEWAY CALL MICROSOFT
TELL THEM IT IS THERE PRODUCT FIX IT. IF THEY WONT CALL
BACK UNTIL THEY DO. Maybe after enough people do that
they will quit releasing software before it has been
tested. for exammple windows me shipped with ie5.5 office
shipped with 5.0. installing caused problems. OFFICE 2000
SERVICE PACK 1 WAS NOT TO HELP YOUR PRODUCT IT WAS TO KILL
THE PIRATED CODES THAT WERE RELEASED. Hmmmm lets update....

So who is running a firewall... hmmmm .... lets see....

Now thats sucks....... All I ask is that you guys show
some respect. these people only want help.

Please read my other reply to you and perhaps read many other replies in
here as well. Perhaps 99% of the time someones computer fails it is because
THEY did not do something they should have or THEY did do something and it
was wrong...like putting incompatible software on their system.

Making statements about what large corporate bodies have done, where that
statement is wrong, might be forgiven in private circles, do you really
feel it is wise to do so in an environment that contains lots of people who
actually do know what goes on?
