I am trying to export my numeric data from a table to an XML file format, and
the numbers export fine, but I want the 1000 separators to be included in the
export. I have the table display formatting it correctly with the 1,000
separator in Access 2003, but I need to get the commas included on the export
of the number. I'm totally stuck how to do this. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I know I can have it happen by changing the field to a text field, and
allowing numbers and text, but I want to be able to have the users only time
numerical values in to the field in Access and not allow any text letters or
other symbols. Is there anyway to do this?

Ideally the software that receives the XML would format the numbers in
whatever way is required.

If you want the numbers to be included in the XML not as numbers but
as formatted strings, create a query that uses the Format() function
in calculated fields to convert the numeric values into text, and then
export the query.

See my previous response: have a number field in the table, and
convert the numbers to text in a query.

I wish, people realize that posting a question on this forum will benefit
others also. The subject of your mail is what would lead the person doing the
search to the contents. Subjects such as this one is no help. In any way
people make posts on this either for help or with help. It does not need to
be on the subject.
