trying to free up space on d drive because my HP Total Care Advisor is
telling me that yellow indicates that your selected drive may be reaching
its
capacity and may need some attention. can anyone help please new to
winodws
vista.
Launch Windows Explorer. On the left, scroll down to Computer and select.
You'll see drives in the right hand window. Double-click on D: to see the
files and folders on the drive. You will have to be able to recognize which
files and folders you put there and delete those that are no longer needed.
To preserve the files in question, you can move them to a different
partition or burn them to a CD or DVD.
Question: is this HP a laptop? If so, the D: partition is likely the
recovery partition and you should *never* use it for your own files. Using
the procedure above, remove all your own stuff from D: and don't use it for
your own purposes any more.
