Hi,

I have another question today.

As I already said, I have 2 computers, this site and many others from
Newsgroups (Windows, Outlook, etc...) are in my favorites in my laptop. So I
can access them whenever I want.

I got the second one (B) re-made recently, and I CANNOT find those
newsgroups anywhere. I typed the same URL
(http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups etc...) and I reach
something totally different (http://support.microsoft/default etc....) which
is of no help. And mostly for Vista, which I don't have.

Now I need urgently to reach a message from a long time ago about virus. One
of your experts sent me to C:\AV-CSL\Startmenu.BAT, but the computer B tells
me that page doesn't exist.

It seems I have a Trojan everyday, so I need to scan with other antivirus (I
have AVG)

I would really appreciate an urgent help.

Many thanks

Better yet and easier would be to set up Outlook Express or some other
newsreader for your newsgroups instead of using the web interface. For MS
specific newsgroups the news server address is news.Microsoft.com which
is free access for Microsoft newsgroups. Makes it a lot easier to follow
different threads than using the web interface.

Thanks, thanks, thanks! I clicked on the link from comp B, and put it in my
favorites right away. I could have done it before :(

I never think about OE for newsgroups, I used to do it, but I received too
many junk

Probably because you used you real E-mail address there and it got
harvested by spambots. It's much preferable to use a fake address, as
most of us here do.
