if you have a RTM version of vista does it have a expire date or is it the
same one thats going to hit the shelves on january 30th

Well if you got it from anywhere legitimate you'd already know.
 
You will get 30 days from install then you will be put in reduced
funtionality mode until you purchase a license or enter a key
 
After it is activated properly with Microsoft, it doesn't expire. As far as the same as the one that will be released in Jan. The release to the public will have more added driver support for hardware.

Now this is what I call a stupid and rude reply. What the heck would happen
if you just answered the question ? Everybody is so up tight about an OS
that will have to be bought in the end.................
