Hi,

My laptop crashed and i had to re-install Windows 2000, but now everything
is whacky.

The Display Settings only have 2 options (so the desktop icons are as big as
planets), none of my network drivers work (always get a "not compatible with
hardware" error), the volume control doesnt work (another error message about
no "driver" installed) ... if anyone can help at all - please do.

I've spent hours searching for existing help/downloads here on
microsoft.com, but so far nothing has helped.

Thanks, regards,

First, Pluto *was* a planet but they decided he was too small and
insignificant. So Icons as large as a planet may be good least someone
try to demote them inot something smaller...

You need to go to the hardware makers site and download drivers for
your video, network and any other non-natively supported hardware.
Easy as that. Not MSFT's site, but the maker of your computer (or
motherboard).
