I've encountered a virus issue that I can't solve. Please help...
I've got an HP notebook running Windows XP. The symptoms are:
- The Delete Key has been disabled (Also Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't work)
- In Outlook Express, emails get deleted from the Inbox and put into Deleted Items before my eyes. This happens very quickly and is triggered when I try and reply to an email.
- In Word, sentences are rapidly deleted from the page, automatically.
- When clicking on a file or folder on the desktop, the 'Confirm Folder Delete' dialog box comes up, and refuses to disappear when I select 'no'.
The problem occurred once before, and I managed to solve it by going back to a previous restore point. No such luck this time!
I've tried re-building the machine using the system recovery CD's, but the problem still exists - even after wiping the hard disk.
Suggestions please - this problem is driving me mad! Perhaps re-installing the BIOS would solve it?
