For some time I ran dual boot, WinME & WinXP. From time to time I would
download a simple program on XP & burn it. Then when I tried to install it
on ME it wouldn't recognize the CD. Why?
The reason I'm asking, a friend has an older computer, I installed my old
copy of ME that I no longer use. When I try to install some programs (word
perfect 7) it doesn't recognize it. I looked at the cd's it does recognize &
the ones it doesn't, both are formated CDFS. I would like to be able to
install these programs on his machine. We would appreciate any help. Thanks
in advance.

If you used Nero InCD or the Roxio equivalent to create the CD, you will
have to install the same creation program onto the ME machine..

But not if the CD is finalized after the burn........

Thanks for the replies. Harry, the article you refer to deals with problems
burning in XP. I don't have a problem burning CD's or reading CD's in XP.
It's just that the CD's I burn in XP can't be recognized by ME. The PC in
question won't recognize Word Perfect installation CD. This is the main
objective but there are other CD's that it won't recognize and some it will.
I'm trying to find a way to doctor up this installation CD so that this PC
will install Word Perfect. Thanks again for the suggestions. Any other
suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi Jim. If you had scrolled down to the section I mentioned you would have
