help please

Would somone please be kind enough to help me with a prob thats driving me
nuts?when i open a news group,theyre all offen,every thread is open with the
minus sign,how can i get them to open without all the threads open? ive
looked everywhere to no avail.id realy be greatfull for any help.

It sounds like you might be using outlook express. IIRC, there's an
option that determins if the threads are initially collapsed or not. At
any rate, making a posting in a group dedicated to your particular
newsreader will likely be more fruitful.

When he does so paying some attention to readability would help.
He might consider using uppercase letters for I and the beginning
of sentences, separating sentences with the occasional blank, the
use of apostrophes and elimination of silly abbreviations such as
"prob". He might also consider replacing the assumed Outhouse
Excess with a reader that at least attempts to comply with
standards. Netscape is probably the easiest.

At the top of your screen hit "Tools", then "Options". In the window that
opens up, hit the "Read" tab, and uncheck the box next to "Automatically
expand grouped messages".

I don't mean to be unkind, but this group is concerned with hardware
issues - a more appropriate place for this would be a newsgroup concerned
with the reader you are using - though this is the sort of question that can
be answered by RTFH.
