Andre
I had to delete a file called "mpldfg" because it was infected with
the "backdoor.optixpro.13 virus. Now I am unable to open some programs
including the recovery disk to get the file back. I use windows 98
second edition, and I was wondering if someone out there (if this is
indeed a good idea) could very amicably loan me this file so that I
may reinstall it into my computer?
Maybe then I will be able to download a virus fixer and kill the
dreaded monster.
To make things worse there was another file that was infected
called "msiexec16.exe; I'm not sure if I deleted that one too or
simply quaranteened it. This file hasn't (to my knowledge) done much
harm, it just pops up when I first turn the computer on telling me it
cannot find the file. I just click ok 3 times and the message
vanishes.
Any help would be immensely appreciated.
Thank you.....Andre Janssens
