I have a list of grades for my classes marks on how well they ar
perfoming in certain sections of their Coursework. I need a line grap
to show how everyone in class (21 people) is comparing against eac
other, but i need it to update when the marks are changed, but keep th
old marks on the graph so they can see how they are progressing...

please can someone tell me how I might go about creating something lik
this? - or something quite similar?

Please help

Thanks:

Hmmm, 21 series might get cluttered, but here's how you'd go about it.

Set up the data with some kind of categories in the first column (e.g.,
date or a particular grade event), student names in the top row, and
numerical grades down the columns. Leave the top left cell blank:

Alan Bill Cathy ...
1-Jan 92 87 89
5-Jan 89 84 90
7-Jan 88 86 91
12-Jan 90 88 90

Select the range and make a line chart or an XY Scatter chart. It will
take some clever formatting to help identify which series belongs to
which student.

A frequently asked follow up question involves how to make the chart
update as you add more rows, without having to reset the chart data
range each time. I have some dynamic charting examples and links to many
more examples on my web site:
