Help please! - XP Pro doesn't recognize internal modem

Help Please!

I got a new Presario 2100 notebook and immediately upgraded from XP Home to XP Pro. When it came time to set up my internet connection I ran into some problems. When I go through the Internet Connection Wizard I want to set up a new connection using my dial-up internal modem, but when I get to the screen where I should be able to choose to used a dial-up connection I can't select it. The "connect to the internet using a dial-up modem" option is greyed out and unselectable. I can only select to connect to the internet using a DSL connection which is on all the time.

Does anyone have any ideas about why I can't select the dial-up option? HELP it's been driving me crazy for 2 days.
