HELP please with windows update

Hi Paul - have you tried downloading individually and then
installing?? You can do this with service packs as well--
 
That is the one you want. The other is abbreviated.

I also just did a clean install of XP Pro and now can not
download/install ANY updates 1 at a time or any other
way. Ideas...Any MS lurkers out there.

Welcome to the club. I've setup two XP pro workstations that I can't
deploy because the windowsupdate won't download and I am not going to
load 30 critical updates manually.
