I apologise in advance if I have approached the wrong UG.
All I am trying to do is play VHS videos on my computer.

I have Win XP, ATI Rage video card, plenty of 'grunt'.

I have connected the 'Video out' on the VCR to 'Comp in' on the computer,
(Both RCA plugs)
I have connected 'audio out' to 'Comp in' for sound - Works fine

Just can't get the picture up. Are you able to help? Or point me the right
UG?
What program do I use to view the video? If I try using 'ATI', 'Multimedia',
'Video In'
I get an error message as follows...
"The TV Player failed to initialise the Video" and shuts down.

Hope you can help, have spent many, many hours trying to get it to work.

I'd hardly describe a Rage card as having "plenty of grunt". In fact, by
today's standards, it has no "grunt" at all...It's the ATI equivalent of an
nVidia TNT chip - and they're, quite frankly, pathetic.
