HELP Please: Unable to browse the network and error 1068

Hi,

On my home network using a Linksys router, I am attempting to create a
share between two pc's.

While in the file explorer if I click on "My Network Places", "Entire
Network", then on "Microsoft Windows Network". I get the following
error:
"Unable to browse the network. The network is not present or not
started."

So I went to the services and can see that Computer Browser is not
started. Upon attempting to start it I get THIS error:
"error 1068: The dependency service or group fail to start"

What the heck do I need to insure is running to get all the network
services to run?

I've spent 2 hours hunting info on Microsofts tech site to no avail.

Any help will be EXCEEDINLY appreciated.

Thanks Krooze but I guess I forgot to mention I'm using Windows XP
Pro.
