Hi there

Please assist - I have searched on Google and on Microsoft sites without
anything nailing this one down as per the exact errormessage - variations
mean something different to the problem I am encountering - the exact error
message I have encountered seems to be very uncommon - Please assist if a
prognosis / fix / solution is at hand.

The (exact) wording is as follows:

STOP:c0021a {Fatal System Error} The Session Manager Initialisation System
process terminated unexpectedly with status of 0x000026c (0x00000000
0x00000000). The system has been shut down

In anticipation of your assistance / solution.

0xc000021a STOP error, where the ntoskrnl.exe or ntdll.dll files were not
replaced, Boot to Recovery Console, check version, date and time of
ntoskrnl.exe and ntdll.dll. expand them from the SP2 install source,
available in %windir%\servicepackfiles folder

Thanks Mark
STOP error is c0021a. Status was listed as 0xc000026c. Is that not
different to 0xc000021a as you listed in your reply? Refer to the full error
wording in my original post.

Thanks Mark
I had a look at the MS troubleshoot link; it references to Windows Logon
Process problems. My error message reads as follows:
'STOP:c0021a {Fatal System Error} The Session Manager Initialisation SystemIt is a Session Manager Initialization System error. The error is also
occurring when I am re-loading Windows partition or doing a full wipe of the
whole hard disk and reloading of Windows XP Home.

Any assistance please.

John
