Windows XP Help Please Installed Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning Now Record Now & System Restore Wil

Hello, i need help please :-)

I have been on the computer now for over 12 hrs
trying to figure this out. I installed

Roxio Easy Cd & DVD BURNING from the box i bought. I
could not get it to work. I pressed play and nothing
happened so i unstalled the program

Then i tried the program i was using to burn CD's which is
Sonic Record Now. When i clicked on that i received
this message

NO COMPATABLE RECORDABLE OR REWRITABLE DEVICES
COULD BE FOUND ON YOUR SYSTEM

This is a program that came with my computer from Dell

I have windows XP . So i thought maybe i can try system restore

well i have no system restore . it gave me no date to go
back to i even tried to create my own and that did
not work any one have any solutions ?

I really need the help

Roxio causes problems, pure and simple. I have just tried to install Roxio Easy Media Creator 10, after years of avoiding Roxio products because of the mess they cause, and the install hasn't worked properly. Here we go again...

May be, the above link help to resolve the problem. I think only a registry backup will do solve it.

Or you need the original xp cd for checkup and correction of the missing files which are deleted while uninstalling the roxio.

Always remember not to delete the shared files while unisntalling any program unless you are sure completely.
