PLEASE WRITE ME AN EMAIL IF YOU CAN HELP ME:

I was transferring a large video file over my home
network, and the recipient computer crashed while
receiving it. Now, the file is ostensibly there, but
plays imperfectly in windows media... If I try to delete
it, rename it, or anything like that, it says its in use
by another application, and nothing else is running!!! I
have tried everything, including disconnecting from the
network and THEN trying to delete it.... I can't even
right click on the file to get properties, it jams up. I
know it isn't a virus. ANY IDEAS, I NEED TO BE ABLE TO
GET PAST THIS.

thanks so much!!!!

have you tried downloading the file again to see if it
will repair / replace the missing parts?

can you delete it by logging on in safe mode? (press F8
at boot up)
