Help please :error Installing MMC8.5:UCI not installed

System: Windows xp Radeon AIW catalyst 3.5

When installing MMC 8.5 (and 8.1) as well I get the message "UCI is not
installed on your system. Some Apps may not work."

This is right, MMC 8.5 does not work.

Waht the hell is UCI???
Who can help.

when you look at the driver info page it will have a small note.: "windows
media encoder 7.1 or better must be installed first"(or something close to
that). Whenever I did a complete reinstall of any windows OS then do all the
updates, put on the ATI drivers etc. that's when I get this UCI error. I'm
figuring that during media player upgrades or something, the encoder must be
installed. If you don't do the Media upgrades, it seems that the WME 7.1
doesn't get loaded. Try it and post back.

hard to find out any info on the actual meaning. ATI reports it as a problem
with the order in which the drivers and software are loaded, that causes the
error. I guess I fixed it by reloading the drivers and sofware in the order
that ATI wants it done. The only ORDER that I have read about is: the
capture drivers first (no reboot) then the drivers.
