I want to copy or link existing tables from a secured database using
the on open event of a form.

I have multiple databases with common table names and reports, rather
than to open each database and run a report, I thought it might be a
better approach to use a single database and select the form to
retrieve or link the required tables and process the reports from
a central location.

Any help gratefully received

What is your business need/situation? We're not there, so it's a bit tough
guessing why you have what sounds like multiple copies of the same
database -- what business need are to solving with this design?

It's a bit of muddle really, we need to keep each
customer seperate because the db was written with a
vb front end that only allows a single deployment for
each Customer, it's used for order entry and inventory
control.
It is multiple copies (12) of the same database structure
resident on a server but each db is named for each
customer.

The tables in each db have the same name, the reports
are common, but to produce the reports I need to access
each db.

My simple thoughts on this was to create a reports
database with forms and the standard for each Customer
and create linked tables on the load event of the form
and yippee...possibly ?
