Denver

I can't install any programs because they tell me, "not enough disk space".

I have C: with 500MB free M: with 10GB free, and N: with 30GB free.

I had previously removed the swap file from C: and put it on M: and N:.
Everything seemed to be fine.

I read the tech docs for the program I am installing and it said I MUST have
a pagefile on C:. Great! I put the page file on C: and remove it from the
other 2 drives, reboot, then I did't have enough memory for windows! I
recover it, and NOW have the pagefile on ALL 3 drives, but guess what? I do
a search for "pagefile.sys" and it is on M: and N: but NOT on C:! WTF???
I look at technet, it tells me to make sure I have the user "System" with
full access on C:. I do that, NO PAGEFILE! I check the REGISTRY and sure
enough, it correctly show a pagefile is SUPPOSED to be on all 3 drives! The
settings are 190MB - 450MB.
What is the deal??? Why won't windows create a page file on C:???
Thanks in advance.

Try setting the page on C to the minimum of 125 I think it
is and a max of 225. Basically leaving as much free space
on C but still having a page file. You should be cool
keeping the other page files on the other drives but I
would suggest just combining the two other page files into
one on your largest drive. 500 MB free is still not alot
and you may want to see if the program and any others can
be loaded to one of the other drives with more space.
Usually they always have the options to select where to
install to so I would say install to anything but the C
dive.
