HELP! Online diagnostics

My laptop is experiencing some hardware problem. It keeps suddenly turning
off quite often and usually I have to wait at least 1 hour to start it to
work again. Is there any online diagnostics program that can scan my PC to
find out the exact hardware problem it has? Somebody please?!

Overheating!
 
Ensure the air vents are clear of muck, and if your laptop has the small
'feet' at the rear that these are extended
