Hi,

I have a friend who would like to reformat his hard drive (running Win XP
home). It is partioned into 3 as below:

C: Boot - NTFS File System
D: Backup - NTFS File System
E: Recover - FAT32 File System

I can boot from a floppy disk to a DOS command, however I can only "see" the
E drive ( it reprts it as C though!)

Please can anyone help me. He does not wnat to lose the data on D & E if
possible but will if he has to.

Many thanks in advance

J

Jason, just set the cdrom to be first boot device in Bios. Then boot from
CD and choose New Install>Advanced
There's an option that allows you to choose which partition to install XP
on.
