Is there a mechanism for deploying MSASWBx with an answer
file, or other custom-conifuration tool, and, is there a
way to remotely (and transparantly) alter the settings (for
example, to activate auto update, and put MSASWBx into
"novice user" mode?

Thanks,
~~James

No to everything. In this early beta trial version of Microsoft
AntiSpyware, it is not suitable for deployment on a corporate network, and
might even enable your users to escape some of your configurations.

Microsoft AntiSpyware, in its current version, is suitable only for a
single-user PC running with local Administrator rights.

Just to reinforce Robin Walker's post: Don't do this.

There are imagininative ways to force the current beta1 product to do the
kinds of things you are interested in, but these should not be necessary
once a version properly controlled by group policy is available.

I'm very clear that waiting for that version will save you many headaches.

I'm not sure when it will arrive--beta2 is promised "this year"--but none of
us here has a clear picture of what beta2 will look like--except one troll
who regularly claims to be running it!
