I am trying to redirect the Windows\CSC folder (my offlice client side cache)
to another partition on my primary HDD. The Local Computer Policy is all I
seem to get if I type gpedit.msc or add the Group Policy snapin to the MMC
console and it doesn't appear to have the Folder Redirection link under User
configuration> Windows Settings>

I am on a local (home) worgroup network which does not use a server. The
computer I synchronise my offline files with runs MCE

can anyone help me?

Change the Local Installation Source After the Installation

Hi Sam,

Relocation of Offline Files can be done only using CacheMov.exe (tool
available in Windows 2000 Resource Kit CD).

Alternately, you may use this method below, posted earlier by Ryan Winland
[MS] and Torgeir Bakken.

This method does not need Cachemov.exe tool, but uses the NTFS junction. An
NTFS directory junction allows you to redirect the directory/file request to
another location. Tested under Windows 2000, and might work in Windows XP.
If your Windows 2000 (or XP) partition is NTFS, try this:

Boot into Safe Mode and delete the contents of the CSC folder. While still
in Safe Mode, create a reparse point (junction) in the %SystemRoot%\CSC
folder and point it toward another partition or a folder in another
partition. Use the Logical Disk Manager (Computer Management\Storage\Disk
Management) to mount a partition or SysInternals Junction to mount a folder.
